Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Effective September 25, 2026 · Last updated September 25, 2026
At a glance
ChatNow is for adults only: everyone, guest or member, verifies their age before entering. Our Community Guidelines are part of these Terms, and our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. ChatNow Premium lasts one month and never renews automatically. Disputes go to the New Mexico courts or to small claims court, never to arbitration. This summary is for convenience; the full text below controls.
1. Who we are and how you accept
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Skyline Online LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company (New Mexico Business ID 0008044922), 1209 Mountain Road Place NE, Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA ("ChatNow", "we", "us"). They govern your use of ChatNow, the chat service at chat-now.net.
You accept these Terms when you click "Join the chat" to enter as a guest, or when you click "Sign up" or "Sign in with Google" to use an account. If you don't agree, don't use ChatNow.
Our Community Guidelines are part of these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. All our contact details are on the Contact & Legal Information page.
2. Age and eligibility
- You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a contract. Minors may not use ChatNow, even with a parent's permission.
- You may not use ChatNow if we have permanently banned you.
- Before you can use any room, private messages, images or webcam, you verify your age with AgeVerif, an independent provider. This applies to guests and members alike. See how age verification works. The age you enter in a form is a profile detail, not a verification.
- You may not get around age verification, for example by using someone else's identity, having someone else verify for you, sharing a verified session, or using a VPN or any other tool to avoid the check.
- If we learn that a user is under 18, we close their access immediately (see if we find a minor).
3. Parental controls notice
As required by 47 U.S.C. § 230(d), we let you know that parental control protections (such as computer hardware, software, or filtering services) are commercially available that may help limit access to material that is harmful to minors. You'll find current providers on our Age Verification & Child Safety page.
4. Guest access and accounts
As a guest, you choose a username of 3 to 20 characters and give your gender, age and city. No email is needed. Your content is deleted 24 hours after you leave, unless it has been reported or we must keep it by law (see how long we keep data).
With an account, you give an email address, a password of at least 12 characters, your date of birth and your gender, or you use Sign in with Google, which is also subject to Google's own terms. Each account can have one active session: signing in somewhere else ends the previous session.
Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your username or account, so tell us at contact@chatnow.fr if you think someone else has access. You may not sell, transfer or share your account. Usernames follow the Community Guidelines too: we may change or remove one that breaks them.
5. Your content and the license you give us
You keep ownership of the messages, photos, voice notes, bio and other content you post or send. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, copy, display and transmit that content, and to let our service providers do so for us, only as needed to run ChatNow, to moderate it and to keep the service safe. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for the reasons and periods set out in our Privacy Policy.
When you post or send content, you promise that:
- you have the right to share it;
- everyone who appears in it is 18 or older and has agreed to appear and to be shared.
You may not post commercial or professional content, content you didn't create and don't have the right to share, or any offer of sex or sexual content in exchange for money or anything of value (see no commercial sex).
We respond to copyright notices as described in Copyright (DMCA). We terminate the accounts of repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.
6. Rules of conduct
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. They say what's allowed, what isn't, how moderation works and what happens when someone breaks the rules.
7. Our right to moderate
You're responsible for what you post and send. Content on ChatNow comes from its users; we don't endorse it. We don't review every message before it appears, and the law doesn't require us to. We may remove or restrict any content, and limit or close any account, that we consider illegal, harmful or otherwise objectionable, or that breaks these Terms, whether or not someone has reported it.
Our moderators and safety tools reduce risks; they can't remove them. The tools we use are described in How moderation works.
8. Suspension and termination
If you break these Terms, we may apply the measures listed in Penalties, from removing content to a permanent ban. Every decision comes with its reasons and a way to appeal. No permanent ban is decided by automated means alone.
You can stop using ChatNow at any time. Members can delete their account from their account settings (see your privacy rights). When your access ends, your data is kept or deleted as described in How long we keep it.
10. Service provided "as is"
To the extent permitted by law, ChatNow is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time, or that every harmful message or user will be caught. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the total liability of Skyline Online LLC for all claims relating to ChatNow or these Terms is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or US$100.
This limit does not apply to liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or gross negligence, to personal injury where the law does not allow such a limit, or to any right that the law does not allow to be waived or limited.
12. Disputes and governing law
- Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Talk to us first. Before starting a claim, send a written notice to legal@chatnow.fr describing the problem and what you're asking for. We'll do the same, at your email address if we have one. We both then have 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Any deadline for bringing a claim is paused during those 30 days.
- Small claims. Either of us may bring an individual claim in a small claims court that has jurisdiction over it.
- Courts. Any other claim will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
Nothing in these Terms takes away rights that your state's consumer-protection laws give you.
13. Changes to these Terms
If we make an important change, we tell members by email and show a notice on ChatNow at least 14 days before it takes effect, and we ask you to accept the new version the next time you join or sign in. A change required by law or needed for safety may take effect sooner; we explain why when we announce it. Other changes take effect when posted, with the date at the top of this page updated. Changes never apply retroactively. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using ChatNow and delete your account.
14. General
- If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- These Terms, including the Community Guidelines, are the entire agreement between you and us about ChatNow.
- If we don't enforce part of these Terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
- Sections 5, 9, 10, 11 and 12 continue to apply after you stop using ChatNow.
- We send notices by email (members) or within the service. Send legal notices to legal@chatnow.fr; for anything else, write to contact@chatnow.fr.
